Andrea McNelis
Andrea discovered her passion for yoga over six years ago while living in Massachusetts where she grew up. She received yoga certification in early 2007 from Prana Yoga Center with Jeanie Carlstead, and Gerhard Gessner and continues to draw her inspiration for learning and teaching from the interconnectedness of the body, mind and spirit. She is driven by the diversity and benefits that yoga, in all its forms, has to offer.
Andrea teaches Vinyasa Flow, Power and also restorative yoga classes. While each Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga class can be rigorous and challenging, they also bring awareness to the breath, encourage freedom of expression and allow the mind to quiet for meditation. The highest purpose of her class is to help each student realize their full potential. Her goal as a teacher is to offer guidance and encouragement to her students. She feels blessed to share the elements of yoga with her students and encourages their learning, and growth, as well as the exploration of their physical and mental goals.
“What we are looking for in everything is joy, ecstasy. But ecstasy is within you. Look for it in your own heart.”
