Steve Hubbard
I was born and raised in Buffalo NY but moved to Southern California to pursue athletics in 1995. After looking for anything and everything that would help better my volleyball game I stumbled onto yoga. Right away there was something that drew me to this practice. The combination of strength and calmness really intrigued me. As my practice progressed I found that not only did yoga help my volleyball game but it also improved every area of my life. I was stronger, I slept better and was really calm in situations that before would have had me raging angry.
As my passion and love for the practice grew I found myself wanting to share what yoga had done for me with others. I feel blessed to be able to share the practice of yoga with so many people. To me there is nothing more gratifying than seeing someone completely blissed out after a class I had taught.
I've been teaching yoga now for about 7 years and am committed to constantly growing and adding to my practice. Over the past few years I've had the pleasure of working with Bryan and Jonny Kest, Shiva Rea and Rusty Wells to name a few instructors that have been inspirations to me. I like to lead challenging classes that are a mix of action and surrender, a complimentary blend of exploration and stillness. It is my belief that when the union of these opposites are realized then yoga can be a powerful tool in transforming our lives beyond measure. I look forward to practicing with you soon.
