ANUSARA
Universal Principles of Alignment are taught in this life-affirming, fun, & inspiring class which enhances the student’s ability to understand & advance their yoga process & develop strength, flexibility, and depth in your practice.
COMMUNITY CLASS
A mixed level Vinyasa or Anusara style class offered at a reduced rate with La Jolla Yoga Center Teachers who rotate each week. Check online schedule for name of teacher & their style of yoga.
FELDENKRAIS
The Feldenkrais® Method which consists of two basic techniques, Awareness Through Movement (ATM) and Functional Integration (FI). Together they comprise an educational movement system that creates brain fitness and body fitness. This can dramatically improve individual performance and functioning by increasing self-awareness and facilitating new patterns of thinking, moving, feeling and behaving. This innovative and therapeutic system is a gentle and effective approach that alleviates work related stress, eliminate aches, pains, and stiffness, prevent and heals injuries.
HAPPY HOUR VINYASA
Join us on Tuesdays all summer long for Jeanie’s Vinyasa Mixed class at 5:30 p.m. A special guest LJYC teacher will accompany Jeanie each week. The music will have a happy hour groove to put you in the mood. Enjoy Wine & Cheese after and mingle with friends.

HIGH SCHOOL 101
Reduce stress, gain energy, strength, concentration, & flexibility as local high schools join together in a fun, non-competitive, & calming environment. PE credit issued for sophomores, juniors, & seniors at the Bishops School (check with your school). September through May only.
IYENGAR
One of the world’s most widely-practiced forms, emphasizes optimal alignment of all parts of the body within each yoga asana (posture). This precision of approach builds strength & stamina, balance & flexibility, & a new sense of well-being.
KUNDALINI
Using specific methods of breath, movement, stretching, meditation, mantras & relaxation, this technique promotes amazing immediate results & ensures long lasting physical, emotional & spiritual transformation. It is considered the Yoga of Awareness & with a consistent practice it awakens intuition allowing the practitioner to manifest with grace & compassion the truth of their Soul.
MEDITATION
Guided group meditation. No experience necessary.
PILATES
Focuses on core work to improve posture, balance, and strength. Pilates is an ideal complement to yoga. While conditioning and strengthening our “power pack” or abdominal wall this will facilitate a greater enjoyment of your yoga asana practice.
POWER VINYASA
Develop strength, flexibility & relaxation through a series of dynamic strong flows & conditioning exercises, with particular focus on core work, arm balances, inversions, breath work & meditation.
PRENATAL

PRENATAL VINYASA
Prenatal Vinyasa offers a safe & active workout while preparing your body & your baby for childbirth & postpartum recovery. Postures are modified for the changing needs of each expectant mother.
RAJA
Asanas (postures) are taught as a means to release tension and awaken subtle spiritual energies. This class will promote self discovery through practices that calm the chatter in the mind and will close with a guided meditation. Raja Yoga is a powerful practice that increases physiological balance, clarity of mind, and heightened awareness.
RESTORATIVE BLISS
Healing, relaxing, & restorative class that will release core tensions through a sequence of supported poses that begins at the tailbone & includes the entire spine.
SUNRISE YOGA
Jump start your day with this invigorating flow including sun salutations, awakening postures, pranayama, & meditation.
VINYASA
Breath & movement are linked through a series of sun salutations & asanas in this energizing & vigorous class. This moving meditation will strengthen your body, ease your mind, & connect you with your internal rhythm. See website for various levels & pacing.
TRUE BEGINNERS YOGA
Benefit from more individualized attention as you learn the basic postures & how to utilize them to create optimum health, strength, flexibility, balance, & calm.
YIN YOGA/RESTORATIVE
Relaxing floor poses are held for 3-5 minutes to access new depths in postures, deeper ranges of motion, or an increased flow of energy. Students are finding Yin Yoga to be the perfect compliment & balance to their more active, yang practices.
YOGA FOR A HEALTHY BACK
Iyengar style class that uses therapeutic yoga poses to strengthen the back & core muscles, gentle stretches to free the spine, & relaxation to encourage the spinal musculature to release & relax.
